Joao Gabriel Rocha won via referee's decision against a very game James Puopolo at Fight To Win Pro 17.

Puopolo opened the match with an aggressive standup game, nearly managing to throw Rocha several times and almost finishing a slick guard-pull to armbar attempt.  

The rest of the match was a game of cat and mouse: Rocha would pass Puopolo's guard, only to have him regain half guard and try to work a sweep. As the match progressed Rocha had Puopolo turtled up and vulnerable several times, but he was unable to secure the submission. The match went to regulation, and Rocha won via referee's decision.
