Fighting For Medals, Cash Prizes and Ranking Points

The top-ranked male black belt athlete at the end of the 2016-217 season will receive a prize of $25,000 (women in the brown-black ranking will receive $10,000). These huge rewards are being hotly contested between a number of top black belts.

Gabriel Arges currently leads the ranking race with 460 points, accumulated in the L.A. and Tokyo Grand Slams. Close behind is Jose Junior with 420 points, and Xande Ribeiro is in third with 360.

Nathiely Jesus is top of the female brown-black ranking table with 400 points. Talita Alencar trails with 260 points, and Luiza Monteiro has 200.

With the UAEJJF rewarding athletes so handsomely, we are seeing athletes following the tour in the hopes of collecting as many ranking points as possible.
