Quietly in Dallas Texas Bruno Mendes is building an elite team of black belt competitors from the ground up. Soul Fighters formed in 2009 with goals of becoming the biggest neighborhood team but now with a star studded roster that includes Joao Gabriel Rocha, Tanner Rice, Diogo Araujo and more the next stop is to become the most successful competition team in the world.
Hugo Marques won every competition he entered in 2016 except two, the IBJJF World Championship and the IBJJF No-Gi World Championships. This year however this are going to be different according to the standout brown belt. With his sights set on fighting the best of the best Marques is betting on himself to come home with gold.
Diogo Araujo Talks Competition Mindset And Putting It All Together
One of Soul Fighters original black belts Diogo Araujo has been training for over 20 years and competing at the elite ranks for seven years. After making it to the World Championship finals in 2012 Moreno is looking to reclaim his spot among the sports best after moving to Dallas and working fulltime with Bruno Mendes.
