World champion Leonardo Nogueira had a successful Fight to Win Pro debut against Ricardo "Demente" Abreu when the two faced off at the main event of Atlanta's F2W Pro 36.

The match started with Nogueira pulling guard and sweeping Abreu. After approaching the edge of the stage, the competitors were reset, and Nogueira pulled guard again. He attempted a gogoplata, but ultimately had to settle for gaining top position over Abreu. Nogueira once again found himself pulling guard before too long, and although he attempted a cross-collar choke with less than a minute left, the result of the match was left to the judges, who awarded the victory to Nogueira by unanimous decision.

Another highlight of the evening was F2W CEO Seth Daniels' very last-minute decision to replace the injured Todd Kornfield against Diego Saraiva in the gi. Although Daniels lost, he impressed the audience with his willingness to step onto the stage with no preparation.
