Eddie Saenz and Renato Tavares, two old school black belts with decades of experience, squared off in the main event of Fight To Win Pro 47 in Houston, TX.
Early minutes saw Saenz employ lapel wizardry from guard, threatening sweeps, submissions, and back-takes at any moment. But Taveres was solid in his resolve, and even more so in his posture.
Unmovable, Tavares weathered the sneaky attacks from Saenz and began to impose his will in the second half of the match. Heavy pressure passing and a solid kimura attempt in the dying moments of the round earned the the 6th degree black belt the win by referee's decision
Fight To Win Pro 47 concluded the promotion's Submit Harvey Tour. Next stop for the professional sub only series is in Tulsa, OK on Sept. 23!
