Felipe Pena vs. Xande Ribeiro
The 2016-17 season saw a yearlong war unfold between the legend "Xande" Ribeiro against the rising star (and soon-to-be ADCC champion) Felipe Pena. At this point it was 2-0 for Pena, and Xande was ready to pull out all the stops. This is jiu-jitsu at its best.Natheily Jesus vs. Samella Shohamy
Nathiley Jesus had a monster 2016 season, running through anyone that stood in her way. She finishes this match with a nasty triangle from closed guard.Celso Vinicius vs Gabriel Rollo
This was a classic battle between a pressure passer and a crafty guard player. Celso was exceptionally active during 2016, with performances at Worlds and ADCC, but Gabriel Rollo is no slouch himself. The Checkmat representative possesses a nasty SLX guard and is constantly threatening sweeps and submissions.UNLOCKED: Alex Sodre vs. Lucas Aguiar
Alex Sodre is the 2017 world champion and 2016 World Pro champion -- the kid is simply a monster.UNLOCKED: Nicholas Meregali vs. Wallace Souza
Nicholas Meregali, the young man who just dethroned Leandro Lo at the 2017 World Championships, shows off his smooth passing and a submission finish when he was still a brown belt in this footage. This match is absolutely worth rewatching. The UAEJJF 2017 Rio Grand Slam is coming to FloGrappling Nov. 10-12.
