Ana Carolina Vieira: Too Much To Handle

2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam -70kg brown-black belt champion Ana Carolina Vieira blew through Thamara Silva in the final, winning via armlock in 3.50.

Competing in her hometown she had plenty of vocal crowd support from friends, family and teammates.

With a dominant performance over two days of competition Vieira proved once again why she is one of the fastest rising stars of women’s jiu-jitsu.

2017 has been an incredible first year at black belt for Vieira: IBJJF World Champion, Abu Dhabi World Pro champion, winner of Grand Slams in London, Rio, LA and Abu Dhabi. The sky is the limit for the 23 year old.

Vieira picked up a nice cash prize of $1500 as champion in the Grand Slam event in Rio.

Next year Vieira plans to compete in the 2018 Grand Slams in Abu Dhabi and London in order to win the end of season ranking cash prize, which is $10,000.
