JT Torres and Benson Henderson will finally get the opportunity to throw down tonight at Fight To Win Pro 59 in Scottsdale, AZ. The much-anticipated match was slated to take place in October, but minor injuries and scheduling conflicts delayed the bout from going forward.

Until now.

One of the best jiu-jitsu competitors in the world, Torres is the clear favorite heading into this gi matchup. He’s also coming off a performance of a lifetime at ADCC in Finland in September, where he took first after besting Lucas Lepri in the final.

But it would be a massive oversight to count Henderson out.

The former UFC champion already has two successful Fight To Win Pro appearances, including a big win over AJ Agazarm at F2W Pro 37. The bout's submission-only rules also help to even the odds. Benson is not only able to survive submission attempts, but he's also shown the ability to push the pace, fluster, and finish even the most experienced jiu-jitsu practitioners.

We expect a frenetic pace between these two that will be just as scrappy as it is technical.

Also featured on the card tonight are Fight To Win Pro veterans Jeff Curran, Thomas Keenan, and Jake Watson.

An old-school American black belt and MMA veteran, Curran is taking on Gerson Atoigue from Roots Academy this evening in the co-main event. Curren previously faced Caio Terra at F2W Pro 33. Watson and Keenan are both human highlight reels and always contenders for "Fight of the Night" when they step on the mats.
