Eliot Marshall will appear in the co-main event of Fight To Win Pro 64 in Denver on Feb. 23, but the real attraction is his amazing work for charity.

The Colorado-based black belt has already raised over $11,000 for local at-risk youth, and he’s not stopping there. His upcoming submission-only superfight with Joao Assis will be another chance for the super-heavyweight grappler has prove his heart is just as big.

This isn’t the first time Marshall has donated all of his Fight To Win purse to charity. He’s used his appearances on the F2W stage to raise over $10,000 for charities that help people with anxiety and depression, but this time his goal is to support the social services organization Colorado Youth at Risk.

“I chose Colorado Youth at Risk because our school is very active in that community,” Marshall said.

“We have had about 10 of our teachers and members be mentors already. I really wanted to be a mentor but I have two young boys, so I’ve been thinking about how I can help in other ways.”

Marshall only just publicly announced his fundraising and has already hit a five-figure sum. He’s hoping that with the help of the jiu-jitsu community he can help boost that amount even further and share some goodwill with some very deserving recipients.

“I’ve been so lucky in my life," he said. "There are billions of people who don’t start with that luck. They actually start the exact opposite. So in today’s climate of very polarizing opinions and ‘my way is the right,’ I’ve decided to try and bring people together to spread some of that luck dust on some of those people who haven’t had a sprinkle of it yet.”
