Atos enjoyed a strong showing on day one of the 2018 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship as four of its team members closed out the purple and blue belt absolute divisions Thursday in Irvine, California.

Heavyweight Conner Deangelis took double gold, closing out with middleweight silver medalist Ronaldo Jr. 

Deangelis had to get past ultra-heavyweight champion Wallace Costa of GF Team, whom he beat via a match-winning sweep in the last 10 seconds of their semifinal showdown. 

Ronaldo's run through the absolute division was highly impressive, as he submitted ultra-heavyweight bronze medalist Austin Baker with a reverse triangle/armbar and heavyweight bronze medalist Brysen French with a rear-naked choke.
