The black belt absolute division went down today in Brazil and there was plenty of drama, but it resulted in a mouth-watering match-up: Honorio vs "Hulk".
The black belt absolute division went down today in Brazil and there was plenty of drama, but it resulted in a mouth-watering match-up: Victor Honorio vs Lucas "Hulk" Barbosa.
Honorio, of GF Team, beat three tough Brazilian black belts in Eduardo Sarkissian of NS Brotherhood, Raul Fernandes Almeida of Nova União and Rodrigo Martins of G13 before facing off with Meregali.
Barbosa had to go through Advilson dos Santos of G13, Joao Paulo de Sousa of Gracie Humaita, Rudson Matheus of CTA and Renato Cardoso of Alliance to make it into the final.
Ultra-heavyweight Honorio and medium heavyweight Barbosa will face off Sunday May 6 on the final day fo the 2018 IBJJF Brazilian National Championships.
