The light-featherweight blue belt division was PACKED with up and coming talent, but none could top Alliance's Sarah Thackray.

Thackray submitted Kateri Jojola with a slick triangle in her first match and never slowed down – she finished her next two opponents in a row (via kimura, and omoplata, respectively) and achieved gold after winning a total of five matches.

Thackray's performance at Worlds caps an excellent gi season: she took first at the European Championships, first at Pan Championships, first again at Abu Dhabi World Pro.... and those are just the majors.   

Its safe to say that you should definitely keep an eye on this rising star.
