This isn't the first time you've seen the names Tainan Dalpra and Mateus Rodrigues featured on FloGrappling.

Up until a few hours ago, they were two of the very best blue belts on the planet – and after placing first in their respective weight classes and closing out the absolute division together – the two stars from Atos / AOJ were awarded their purple belt by Gui Mendes on the podium. 

Two things make this accomplishment monumental: it's their second time decimating their weight categories and the open classes this year (they did the same thing at Pans), and it's their very FIRST year being eligible to compete as adults.  And yet, they've still completely run through the competition (Tainan submitted every single opponent in his weight class today, for example.)
