Combs Defeats Bergeron at F2W Pro 78

John Combs improved his Fight To Win Pro record this evening after defeating Brandon Bergeron at the promotions 78th event in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The match opened with Bergeron quickly pulling guard, electing to attack from the bottom. Combs, known for his intensity and signature "Combatine," his version of the guillotine choke, wasted no time applying the pressure from top.

Within a minute, Combs had passed Bergeron’s guard and was smothering the Minnesota local with crushing pressure from side control.

Combs intentions were clear as he slid his knee across his opponent’s stomach, aiming for the full mount. Bergeron was able to prevent Combs’ advancement for some time, even regaining his guard at one point, but it wasn’t long before Combs worked his way to mount aiming to submit.

Bergeron showed great composure while mounted, fending off submission after submission, making Combs work hard to get the tap.

After a few failed cross chokes and armbar setups, Combs reverted the move he’s become known for; the guillotine. With just a minute left on the clock, Combs forced Bergeron to tap via “Combatine,” earning him the main event victory.

Notable Performances

Baret Yoshida tapped his opponent, Kelly Johnson, via arm triangle. He’s 2 for 2 in his last F2W Pro appearances.
