KASAI Elite Grappling Championships (KASAI) today confirms seven of ten undercard bouts for ‘KASAI Pro 3’, which takes place on Saturday, August 18, at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

Closing out the undercard, which begins at 6:30pm ET and is viewable online via FloGrappling, will be a no-gi qualifier for the organization’s next world championship tournament, to be contested at featherweight (145lbs). 

In this bout, KASAI Pro 1 competitor Edwin 'Junny' Ocasio returns to KASAI’s mat for the first time since December to face 2017 ADCC competitor Ethan Crelinsten of the "Danaher Death Squad".

“Our team has invested a great deal of time and effort to assemble a dynamic undercard. We are excited to showcase people who we believe will be the future superstars of the sport,” said KASAI CEO Rich Byrne. “In fact, we think this undercard is as high quality as most pro tournaments.”  

Crelinsten is a member of the "Danaher Death Squad", John Danaher's infamous squad of no-gi grapplers known for terrorizing the competition scene. An extended network of athletes originating from all over New York, New Jersey and even as far away as Montreal, they train primarily out of the Renzo Gracie HQ in downtown Manhattan.
