KASAI Elite Grappling Championships have confirmed the final entrants for their November 10 show with Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes and Ashley Williams completing the lineup for the World Featherweight Championship Tournament at ‘KASAI Pro 4’. 

Ashley Williams took the competitive scene by storm as a purple and brown belt. At brown belt he was ranked no.1 in the world, and crowned multiple time British Champion. Now as the UK’s youngest black belt, Ashley has stepped onto the big stage. He won gold in no-gi at the 2016 IBJJF European Open, and has competed at the seventh Eddie Bravo Invitational. He most recently beat Frank Rosenthal in overtime at ‘KASAI Pro 3’ to earn his way into the tournament. 

Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes, whose nickname means "Little Tank", has conquered some of the most prestigious titles in jiu-jitsu. In 2013 he defeated Rafael Mendes in the finals of the IBJJF World Championships, and has also twice won the IBJJF World No-Gi Championships. An ADCC veteran, he is one of the founding members of the Soul Fighters BJJ Team.

“With Tanquinho and Williams in the mix, this tournament will be the most stacked event in jiu-jitsu this year,” said KASAI President Rolles Gracie. “On top of having all these world-class competitors competing for one belt, we get to see them fight multiple times in their respective brackets with our KASAI round-robin tournament format”.

'KASAI Pro 4’ will also feature two explosive superfights: Two-time KASAI World Champion Renato Canuto will face the always exciting Edwin Najmi, and KASAI World Middleweight Champion Matheus Diniz will do battle with the ‘King’ Gordon Ryan.
