Vagner Rocha (VRMA / Fight Sports) vs Augusto ‘Tanquinho’ (Soul Fighters) 170lbs No-Gi Title

Vagner Rocha has ascended to the top of jiu-jitsu consciousness over the past year by dominating in competition and becoming a touchstone figure for the advocacy of violent, old school jiu-jitsu. A KASAI Pro finalist, F2W Champion, Combat jiu-jitsu champ, and ADCC bronze medalist (among other achievements), Vagner has managed to stay on top of the no-gi grappling scene utilizing his endless cardio and diverse submission game.

And he'll need to use all of his weapons Oct. 12 when he faces world champion, MMA veteran, and fellow ADCC bronze medalist Agusto "Tanquihno" Mendes.

Mendes has been very selective over the past year when it comes to grappling competition, only taking select super fights and earning a mixed record. We're excited to see him ramp up his competition schedule and intrigued to see what he brings to the table against Vagner. Tanquinho's strongest attributes lie in his pressure passing game and armbar attacks.

Brittney Elkin (The Kompound) vs Maggie Grindatti (Fight Sports) – Brown Belt Welterweight No-Gi Title

This is a match that’s certain to bring the heat to the F2W stage: purple belt world champion Maggie Grindatti is set to face F2W regular and Bellator veteran Brittney Elkin for the brown belt welterweight no-gi title!

Grindatti trains out of Fight Sports and has an aggressive, submission oriented style. Demonstrating a rapidly evolving standup game, Grindatti has the opportunity to show off her wrestling this weekend against the very tough Elkin.

Elkin could be considered a no-gi specialist, and her background in MMA has certainly made her one of the tougher women.

Viktor Doria (Fight Sports) vs Raul Jimenez (Alliance) – 235lb Black Belt Gi Match

Featuring two of the most elite masters black belts on the competition circuit, the bout between Viktor Doria and Raul Jimenez promises to showcase some classic jiu-jitsu. Jimenez is the current Masters World Champion and has taken the match on short notice –much to the pleasure of Doria – who wants to face the champ!

There's no bad blood here though, as is the case with most masters athletes, only the promise of some great technique!
