Aaron "Tex" Johnson will tackle Eliot Kelly when they face off in the main event of Fight 2 Win 97.

The heavyweights will contend for the Masters black belt No-Gi title, which Tex currently holds after facing off with Tom DeBlass at Fight 2 Win 91. 

Kelly is a seven-time veteran of the Fight 2 Win stage, having competed against big names such as Gordon Ryan and Jared Dopp. A solid wrestler and veteran of the ADCC World Championships, the NorCal resident will have a distinct advantage on top but needs to be well-prepared for Tex's trademark aggression and intensity, plus his ability to invert and attack the legs. 

Johnson is 3-1 in F2W, and returns to the gi after a strong run of no-gi tournaments in the final four months of 2018. Tex tore through ADCC Trials and No-Gi Pans thanks to his dangerous leg lock game, something Kelly will be mindful of. 

In total there are over 35 matches on Fight 2 Win 97, featuring local and national athletes in submission-only bouts both gi and no-gi.
