The three Munis brothers– Erich, Alex and Anderson– all fought their way through to finals in their respective weight classes, with two becoming champion.

Erich claimed gold in both the absolute and heavyweight division. Anderson was crowned super-heavyweight champion, while Alex took silver in the middleweight division.
Alex had six matches total in the middleweight division, losing only to Tainan Dalpra via points in the final.
Anderson cruised to victory in the super-heavyweight division, winning three via points and submitting one opponent.
Erich had the longest run of the day, with five matches in his division and another four in the absolute.
Facing off with Wallace Costa in the absolute final, Erich defeated the ultra-heavyweight 2-0 using his long lower limbs to sweep the hefty GF Team purple belt.
The three brothers represent Nova Uniao and train under coach Rodrigo "Feijao" out of Maringa in the southern state of Parana in Brazil.
