KASAI has confirmed that Kaynan Duarte will appear on KASAI Pro 5 in the World Light Heavyweight Championship 8-man no-gi tournament on Saturday April 6.

“This event will be our biggest yet,” said KASAI CEO Rich Byrne. “We are now well on our way to our goal of assembling one of the best brackets that the sport has ever seen.”

Kaynan Duarte is a black belt under Andre Galvao of Atos. He is a rising star of the new generation, having achieved titles such as IBJJF No-Gi World Champion, European Champion, Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Champion and more.

Duarte joins Felipe Pena, Craig Jones, and Tim Spriggs in the 8-man line-up. KASAI Pro 5 will also feature three superfights, the first of which was announced last week with ADCC champ Romulo Barral facing off with New York transplant Marcos Tinoco.
