Gabi Garcia To Make Submission-Only Debut On Biggest F2W Event To Date!

You won't believe how BIG this card is! Garcia makes her sub-only debut, plus Ffion Davies, Claudia do Val, Baret Yoshida, and many more!

Seth Daniels, Fight 2 Win founder and CEO, has been working on this mega-event for months and the result is staggering.

Fight 2 Win will make the trip to Portland OR on June 7– just one week after the 2019 IBJJF Worlds– for a loaded event that will feature the following on the main card.

Main Event: Female Black Belt Heavyweight Gi Title

Gabi Garcia (Alliance) vs Hillary Vanornum (Impact Jiu Jitsu)

Garcia continues her comeback with an outing on the F2W stage against Portland-based black belt Hillary Vanornum. On paper Garcia has the edge, with a long list of titles and accomplishments. But Vanornum is a regular competitor with medals at IBJJF Worlds and Pans, plus a 3-0 amateur MMA record. Don't count out the hometown advantage.

Co Main Event: Female Bantamweight Black Belt No-Gi Title

Ffion Davies (East Coast Jiu Jitsu) vs Catherine Fuhro Perret (Checkmat)

Another high-profile athlete making her Fight 2 Win debut, Ffion Davies will face off with the scrappy Checkmat black belt Catherine Perrret. Already the bantamweight title holder, Perret will be looking to pick up the no-gi title belt to complete her collection.

210lbs Black Belt No-Gi

John Diggins (SBG) vs Ed Herman (Gracie Barra)

UFC veteran Ed Herman, who trains in Fabio Scherner's Gracie Barra gym alongside Chael Sonnen, will take on tough-as-nails black belt John Diggins of SBG in a cross-town rival showdown.

165lbs Female Black Belt Gi

Claudia Do Val (De La Riva) vs Thamara Ferreira (Cicero Costha)

Another explosive women's match will see two-time IBJJF World Champion Claudia do Val against the Abu Dhabi World Pro champ Thamara Ferreira (aka Thamara Silva). Silva is still currently a brown belt but we expect her to promoted at Worlds given her incredible run of success. Expect her to go hard after Do Val, one of the most established and respected names on the women's circuit.

165lbs Black Belt No-Gi

Dustin Akbari (Akbari BJJ) vs Nate Orchard (10th Planet)

The man behind the 'Dead Orchard' takes on the explosive wrestler / jiu-jitsu black belt Dustin Akbari. 10th Planet black belt Orchard will need every crafty submission attack in his arsenal for the tricky Akbari.

140lbs Black Belt Gi

Baret Yoshida (Baret Submissions) vs Hiago George (Cicero Costha)

Beloved veteran grappler Baret Yoshida takes on one of the toughest and most active adult black belts on the current competition scene in Hiago George, who comes off gold medals at the 2019 European, Pan and Brazilian National Championships.
