ADCC Shuffle Continues: Luiz Panza & Kit Dale Out; Replacements Announced

In another bit of news that is equal parts disappointing and intriguing, Checkmat all-star Luiz Panza announced that he is withdrawing from ADCC due to a knee injury.

Taking his place in the -99kg division is Tex Johnson, who will be moving down one division from the +99kg category. Johnson's addition to the -99kg division gets him out of the oven and into the frying pan, trading potential opponents like Buchecha and Orlando Sanchez for Gordon Ryan, Patrick Gaudio, and Keenan Cornelius, but that's why it's ADCC: There are no easy fights!

Replacing Text at +99 is none other than American grappler Eliot Marshall. Marshall is a UFC veteran and regular face on the F2W circuit.

Kit Dale Dropping Out Due to Elbow Injury

ADCC Veteran Kit dale also announced earlier this week that an elbow injury is forcing him out of the competition this year; he is set to be replaced by Brazilian trials silver medalist and Fight Sports competitor Valdir "BB Monster" Araujo.

Besides his silver medal at the trials, BB Monster also had an excellent showing at KASAI Pro 5 in matches against Felipe Pena and Tex Johnson, and though he wasn't able to get the win, he proved that was certainly as tough as they come.
