This match was one-way traffic: returning 88kg champion Yuri Simoes made the jump to +99 and seemed to have no issue moving up in weight.  He took down and dominated last-minute Eliot Marshall before earning the submission win.

Kaynan Duarte Submits Yakuza

Kaynan Duarte's pulse looked like it barely topped 50 bpm in this match. He was on the European trials winner back immediately and finished with a nasty RNC over the chin to advance to the second round.

Tim Spriggs might have been considered the underdog in this match, but his performance certainly wouldn't have confirmed that suspicion. The TLI athlete finished footlock machine Fellipe Andre with a guillotine.

King Gordon had some people worried when he missed the weigh-in ceremony Friday night, but all seemed to be well when he took to the mats Saturday morning and enacted the patented system of attacks.  He went on to provide a double feature when he submitted Tim Spriggs in his Second Match of the day.

Cheetah Print is Back - Craig Jones Dominants First two Rounds

Craig Jones has a foot fetish.  

It's undeniable, as he was all over Ben Dyson from the jump attack with heel hooks and straight kneebar attacks for a majority of the round. Jone's also showed comfort wrestling up from guard and flexed his top game a few times throughout the match.

He went on to finish his second match of the day against Mason Follower via guillotine on the edge of the mats.

Josh Hinger Doubles up With Two Submission Wins

Josh Hinger's Long-awaited ADCC debut couldn't have gone better. 

His patented headlock and guillotine system was on full display, but it was ultimately a back take and brutal RNC that got the job done in his first match against Gabriel Almedia.

Hinger went on to finish Adam Wardzinski with an arm in Guillotine, effectively securing his place in the semi-finals.
