Kyle Boehm successfully clawed his way to the top of the BJJ Fanatics No-Gi Sub Only Grand Prix last night after picking up five wins in the ultra-competitive open weight tournament.

Boehm's campaign saw him open up with two quick heel hook submissions.  From there the 10th Planet black belt flexed his mastery of the EBI overtime format to pick up his final three wins, including a strong showing in the final against Atos monster Lucas 'Hulk' Barbosa.

Gordon Ryan can add 'Mystic Gord' to his list of accolades, as the ADCC champion actually predicted that we could see a Hulk vs Boehm final in an interview conducted this week, with Kyle's familiarity of the EBI ruleset being the deciding factor.

As it turned out though, Hulk's OT strategy was better than Ryan expected, and Boehm was forced to give it everything he had to pull out the win via ride time in the third round of OT to earn himself $10,000 and the BJJ Fanatics No-Gi Gand Prix title.
