The IBJJF 2019 No-Gi World Championships saw a unique cast of adult black belt athletes; many of the division's returning championships were absent - Ove 75%, in fact, and creating a strong opportunity for the young guns and hungry veterans to claim their first world title.

The wide range of experience led to a total of 38 submissions; the men's absolute and medium-heavy weight divisions tied for first place with 5 total submissions a piece;  in the women's ranks we saw the absolute division claim four subs.
