On the 14th Episode of Who’s #1, we had Caio Terra and Mikey Musumeci in studio as special guests. While discussing the future potential of Mikey fighting big guys post Euros he dropped a bomb on the community, saying that with trouble getting heavyweights to take superfights with Mikey he was willing to bet $10,000 on Mikey against all comers.

Some of the potential names mentioned on the show were Keenan Cornelius, Victor Hugo, Nicholas Meregali, Erberth Santos, Lucas Barbosa, Leandro Lo and Felipe Pena. Caio is confident that Mikey can go head-to-head with anybody of any size, besides Marcus Buchecha, after his Euros match against Mahamed Aly.

The challenge quickly exploded on social media, with all the biggest names in the sport chiming in. Some of the very first comments were from Gui Mendes offering up Johnatha Alves and Andre Galvao throwing Gustavo Batista into the mix-

From there things spiraled out of control, with nearly 2,000 comments on eight posts made about the challenge throughout the day. These are just a few of the big name athletes who commented throwing their names into the hat-

Of course, Gordon Ryan had a lot to say, especially concerning the possible participation of his adversary Erberth Santos-

Flashback To The Heartland: Daisy Fresh Photo Essay

In February 2017 I completed my first project working freelance for FloGrappling, a photo essay titled "A Trip To America's Unseen Jiu-Jitsu Heartland." I lost money on the project, slept on the mats with the guys in the cold Illinois winter, and ended up having to change my friend's tire in the middle of nowhere in freezing weather on the way back to Chicago from Southern Illinois.
