Third Coast Grappling notified fans and fighters that 3CG IV will become a Texas-only affair due to Coronavirus concerns.

3CG Cancels Gordon vs Gaudio Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Just yesterday we wrote an article describing the various ways that the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic has had a global impact on the international jiu-jitsu community, but we didn’t expect to be updating it so soon.

With the aims of preserving public health and safety in mind, Third Coast Grappling notified fans and fighters that 3CG IV will become a Texas-only affair: all competitors traveling from other states will have their matches canceled with the hopes of rebooking at a future date.

It seems Gordon Ryan & Patrick Gaudio will need to wait a little longer to have their rematch.

Third Coast Grappling issued this statement:

"In light of the recent events in the context of the footprint expansion of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our leadership team at 3rd Coast Grappling has made the conscious decision to activate a crisis management process in order to reduce the potential threat of spreading contamination.
This decision includes having to cancel all matches for 3CGIV on March 14th, 2020 that will entail competitors traveling inbound to Texas from other states at this point in time."
