Known for his dynamic scrambles and flashy persona, Garry Tonon is arguably the most entertaining grappler on the mats today.

Who Does Garry Need To Face In 2020?

Kron Gracie

One of the craziest matches in ADCC history has to be Garry Tonon vs Kron Gracie. Risking his own arm, Garry scrambles to defend Kron's nasty armbar and then fights to take the back. With Kron on the ropes, it looks like the underdog is positioned to beat the 77KG favorite. However, with one minute left Kron escapes, takes the back and taps Garry with two seconds left. What an unbelievable performance from both men — we NEED to see the rematch! 

Renato Canuto

After ADCC 2019, it's no surprise fans are dying to see these two face off again. Garry Tonon vs Renato Canuto was voted "Match of The Year" at this year's FloGrappling Awards. These two are always out for blood when they face each other and it is certain to get spectators on the edge of their seats. Get an all-access pass and go matside during ADCC 2019.

Ryan Hall

Although we haven't seen Ryan Hall compete since 2012, grappling fans might demand a return to the mat. After being called out by Garry Tonon in MMA, fans started comparing the two grapplers in hopes of a potential matchup. 

Even though they have never faced off before, both hold similar titles and specialties. They both are currently ADCC bronze medalists and have a deep technical knowledge of the heel hook. Seeing Garry and Ryan fight both in jiu-jitsu and MMA would be a show fans would love to see.

Vagner Rocha

After facing off at ADCC 2017, the crowd roared with applause after the two men shook hands. Both of these competitions are well known for never backing down, using dynamic movement to win the match and always hunting for submissions. Although they did not faceoff in 2019, Vagner and Garry both took the 77kg podium under JT Torres. Although Vagner Rocha previously edged out Garry on points, fans want to see this rematch ended in a submission.

JT Torres

At the top of the 77KG division is JT Torres. Although Garry got his chance at ADCC 2019 to dethrone the ATOS golden boy, he was only defeated by two points. Can Garry Tonon defeat JT Torres in 2020 to claim the #1 spot? There's only one way to find out.
