Fight To Win returned this weekend to showcase another round of fantastic matchups. We saw Rafael Lovato Jr. take on Arnaldo Miadana in the main event with Ben Henderson and Edwin Najmi in the co-main. Read on to see how things played out!
Main Event: Rafael Lovato Jr. Submits Arnaldo Maidana Via Cross Choke
"I miss the gi so much . . . this is my first love and what I dedicated my life to it since I was a little kid" –Lovato Jr.
After three years off from the gi, Lovato put back on the jacket and looked incredible tonight! After his fight he told FloGrappling that he's back and wants to compete in the gi as much as possible moving forward!
The match started and Lovato immediately got the sweep and started applying heavy shoulder pressure to Maidana's face. While Lovato was trying to advance his three-quarter mount, Arnaldo worked a cross choke from the bottom. Rafael answered with a knee slice looking to flatten out Maidana. Arnaldo opted to turtle and roll out of bounds.
With Lovato completely on his back, he transitioned to mount and quickly looked for his signature cross choke. Maidana showed great heart throughout the match but unfortunately couldn't get it done tonight. Who will be next to face Lovato Jr. now that he's returned to grappling?

Co-Main Event: Edwin Najmi Submits Ben Henderson Via Triangle
As promised this match was action-packed! Between Edwin's flying attacks and Ben's dynamic style, fans were guaranteed a show tonight between these two. Both of these guys delivered on their promise but Edwin came out with the victory.
Immediately after the slap bump, Najmi leapt for his signature flying triangle but a cautious Ben Henderson quickly shut it down. However, Najmi continued to attack with multiple triangle attempts eventually finding success. Congratulations Edwin Najmi on a quick victory and great performance. Who is the next 170lbs gi competitor to take on the kid?
