After Mikey Musumeci and the Miyao bros leaving their longtime teams in 2020, yet another superstar has moved on to a new team in Fellipe Andrew. The 2020 IBJJF Euros open class champion is leaving the Zenith team to join Alliance, according to a post on his instagram this morning. He will be based out of Alliance San Diego.

"Well guys, as everything in life has a cycle ... today another one ended in my life, which was my participation in the Zenith team!
I wanted to tell everyone that this was my and Cavaca's decision ... we were already planning this.
My respect, love and affection for Cavaca remain the same, not least because I don't know if I'll ever be able to thank or repay everything this guy has done for me. If today I am who I am this guy was one of the great people in my life responsible for this.
I received a lot of messages today from people asking what had happened, people saying they are sad ... but I guarantee you, in this jiu-jitsu life I learned that friendship goes much further than any flag!
As of today I will be representing Alliance, but my friendship remains the same!
So let's stop anything that feels good-bye, because this is just another new beginning in my life.
Thank you Johnny Faria, Fabio Gurgel and Bobby for welcoming me and for this great reception, I hope to contribute to you in the same way I have been my whole life since I started in this sport!"
Fellipe came to many fans attention at the 2020 Euros, where he became the first athlete to submit Keenan Cornelius in the gi, by triangle in the open class final. Since then he has also won by triangle in a no-gi match with Lucas "Hulk" Barbosa at the 3CG Kumite. One of the most exciting athletes of the new generation, Fellipe is a submission machine and always looking for the finish.

This is yet another big name on the Alliance squad, who dominated the competition scene in 2019 as a team. This resurgence was led by the massive contribution out of the Dream Art Project in Sao Paulo, plus the established black belt champions such as Lucas Lepri and Nicholas Meregali. It didn't look like anyone would catch Alliance anytime soon in the team race, this acquisition of Fellipe has only served to widen the gap between Alliance and the competition.
