How to Watch NFC BJJ #8 "Purple Haze"

Here's how to watch the NFC BJJ #8: Purple Haze on FloGrappling. 

After a successful Battle of the Blues competition a couple months ago, NFC return with "Purple Haze" on Saturday, September 12 at 4:00pm ET in Atlanta, GA. Competitors can sign up for the chance to win a cash prize with the winner of each bracket receiving $1000. 

• Men's purple belt absolute gi -175lb

• Men's purple belt absolute gi +175lb 

• Women's absolute gi bracket 

There will be two mats going at a time and you can choose to watch either mat one at a time, or both simultaneously via split screen. 

In addition to the open divisions, there are three black belt superfight matches: 

  • Walnan Constantino (Alliance BJJ) vs Kevin Paul (Ares / Kenny Kim BJJ)
  • Josh Murdock (Team Roberto Traven) vs Desmond Reid (Terra Planus Jiu-Jitsu)
  • Ryan Aitken (10th Planet Atlanta) vs Quintavious Marshall (Milledgeville Academy of MMA) – no-gi 

RULES

  • Early rounds will be one round of 6 minutes.
  • The semifinals and finals will be two rounds of 4 minutes with a 3rd round if necessary.
  • All matches will follow the same rules as NFC JJ competitions except there will only be one referee per match. For the finals there will be 3 referees. 

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

NFC will be using all of the safety measures that are in place at other business’ at the time of the event. Plus regular cleaning of the mats between each match. And constant cleaning of the warmup mats and temperature check of all competitors, trainers, fans and staff.
