Jacob Couch, AKA the 'Hillbilly Hammer',  earned MVP of the day for the Daisy Fresh / Pedigo Submission Fighting crew after claiming four submissions and a total of six victories. Notably, Couch (aka the Hillbilly Hammer) submitted Matheus “Teteu” Ferreira from Atos in the final of the absolute division, an athlete that put him out early at the 2020 Pan Championships.

But Couch isn't the only Daisy Fresh competitor to put on a stellar showing on the first day of the 2020 NO-Gi Pan Championships: Jacob Bornemann, a lightweight blue belt took gold, as did Jorge Vallederos in the purple belt medium-heavy division.
