Following the open casting call for the upcoming FloGrappling reality competition series, we received many questions about who could apply and what we were looking for. 

Who can apply: 

Any male grappler over the age of 18 is eligible to apply, but note that we will be rigorously screening applications as we search for the next grappling superstar.  

We want big personalities, but you need to have great jiu-jitsu! Belt level does not matter, but accomplishments and skill level do. You don't need to be a world champion, but it could help. We are searching for emerging talents who are poised to break onto the international scene– only grapplers with the highest potential will be selected. 

This will be a highly-competitive event that takes place over multiple weeks. You need to be technically and physically able to handle various activities and challenges as well as grappling matches against the other participants.

HOW CAN I MAKE MY APPLICATION STAND OUT?

Your application video is everything, so let your on-camera personality shine! We want to know who you are and what your Jiu-Jitsu story entails. Show off your skill with some rolls in your home gym. Shed some light on your future aspirations. Tell us about your lifestyle. Obviously, it doesn’t hurt to be creative. Just remember, being a World Champion isn’t enough. We are looking for individuals willing to push the limit on the mat and in front of the camera.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?

We will accept submissions through Sept. 30, 2021.

ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON THE SHOW?

We are searching for adult, male, no-gi jiu-jitsu athletes to be featured on the show. Specific Jiu-Jitsu ranks, belt levels, or weight classes are not required to be cast. We encourage anyone who is interested to apply.
