Alliance Dream Art rep Jhonathan Marques aka "Moicano" is known for his deadly berimbolo, which he uses to get the back and get the finish– just like he did at the 2020 European Championships, where he won gold with a submission in the final. See him train his signature move, along with some very technical guard passing.

Moicano started training with Fernando Terere in Rio de Janeiro, where he excelled as a juvenile competitor. While a blue belt, he was brought to the USA as part of the Mendes brothers' Believe and Achieve program, which gave him the chance to train at AOJ ahead of major tournaments such as Pans and Worlds. 

Now a purple belt, Marques still favors the berimbolo but has also added a very technical style of guard passing to his game.
