The Atos team member is — as expected — excited for the show, but not just for the chance to compete against some of the best in the world.
“I fought Edwin four times now, and we’re 2-2. He beat me by two advantages this year. I fought Marcelo Mafra, too. I lost to him by two advantages, no-gi.
The whole bracket is really tough, it’s hard to pick the toughest competitor in the division. Everyone’s tough, everyone’s good. Edwin’s tough, I really enjoy competing against him every time. Dillon Danis has obviously got some momentum behind him right now and I’m yet to fight him.A noted technician Liera Jr. is promising that we’ll see a different version of him come December 3.
“The submission only ruleset changes up the fights, but it’s doesn’t change the preparation. I’m going to be pushing the pace, like most of my career. I’ve fought very intelligently, and now I’m ready to open up a lot more. I’m ready to bring it to the tournament.”
