We caught up with legendary black belt Roberto Satoshi as he weighed in for battle at the ADGS Abu Dhabi.

Satoshi will be fighting twice this weekend, as he is also slated to compete in the prestigious and hotly anticipated King of Mats.  Satoshi admitted that he 'prefers a normal bracket to a round-robin event as he can strategize his opponents, but he knows the fans love more fights from all the fighters'. 

When asked about his toughest matches ups in the 77kg division at the Grand Slam, Satoshi said he was excited to potentially face Tommy Langaker and Levi-Jones Leary. 

'I like to study my opponents, I for sure what the brown belts coming up….. Tommy, man, he beat Erberth Santos and Levi won the World Championships at Brown Belt… they are going to be tough fights.’
