Gabriel Arges didn't have a great start to his weekend in Abu Dhabi, but he sure as hell knows how to stage a comeback.

Arges he lost to fellow King of Mats competitor  Rudson Mateus yesterday in his second match of the Grand Slam by referee's decision, and in highly unusual fashion, he  didn't even hit the podium.

But the Gracie Barra all-star is a professional, and he bounced back to claim the King of mats title after several incredible bouts including the thrilling final with Isaque Bahiense.

I’m glad I was able to avenge my loss from yesterday.  I knew I was ready…. after I lost I knew my jiu-jitsu was good enough to come out and win today.  Hulk Beat me today; in normal tournament you lose and you’re out but today I had to re-energize for the next round.

Gabriel Arges also revealed that has a superfight coming up with none other than Craig Jones.  Stay tuned for more information on that soon
