Felipe Pena's Incredible & Systematic Back Takes
There’s no denying that Felipe Pena is a back-taking animal.
He unraveled the riddle that is Gordon Ryan for the second time when he claimed the ADCC 2017 Absolute title in spectacular fashion, countering the Danaher Death Squad leaders leg entanglement with a spectacular sequence to earn the back.
As you've just seen above, Pena nailed the same series in the duo's first meeting in 2016 at the Studio 540 Super Series.

We didn’t see Pena back in action after ADCC 2017 until the 2018 World Championships where he became the gi world champion after an equally impressive campaign. Thankfully, Pena has opted to be more active in 2019, and we'll see him compete April 6 at KASAI Pro 5 in the inaugural 205lb bracket.
