Tommy Langaker is one of Europe’s most accomplished jiu-jitsu athletes.

2018 was certainly breakout year for the young Norwegian, he kicked off his breakout year when he submitted Erberth Santos in the absolute division of the European Championships and never looked back.

His best performance came at the World Championships where he took second place –but something was off, and Tommy discusses in our interview what it felt like to reach the biggest stage of jiu-jitsu so early in his career, and why he is in a better position mentally now.

Other topics covered include upcoming and recent challenges, and why having a rival is one of the best things a jiu-jitsu athlete could ask for.

Langaker has already opened the year strong with a second place finish at the 2019 European Championships and is looking for another big win next week at World Pro.
