Darragh O'Connail is one of Europe's leading jiu-jitsu competitors and coaches.

The Irishman is the founder East Coast Jiu-Jitsu Association, a team that is bringing no less than 37 competitors the European Championships – including black belt phenom Ffion Davies – and he is thrilled to see the growth of European ju-jitsu.

In our stroll around the  Pavilhão Multiusos de Odivelas arena, Darragh discusses the European Jiu-Jitsu scene as a whole, as well as his recent experiences at the training camp in Haugesund, Norway where he brought of a group of athletes to work with top-ranked black belts Tommy Langaker and Espen Mathiesen.

We also dive into what it will take for the Europeans to catch up with the jiu-jitsu powerhouses that are Brazil and the United States.
