Rafael Borges Dominate At Brasileiro's, Collects Double Gold

Rafael Borges, a purple belt representing Dream Art, continues to assert himself as one of jiu-jitsu’s top prospects after capturing double gold at the IBJJF 2023 Brazilian Nationals.

The middleweight competitor collected 6 wins in his weight class, five of those coming by way of submission. The absolute category proved to be more of the same for Borges who captured four victories, half of them via submission.

Borges' performance in Sao Paulo builds on his double gold run at the Pan Championships, where he also took home double gold.

Other standout performances include Danylo Wruck who was able to defeat Alliance teammate Leo Feerria in the medium-heavyweight final - a reversal from their finals bout from the 2023 European Championships. Wruck earned five wins in his weight class with 2 submissions.
