Mikey Musumeci, the #4 pound-for-pound no-gi grappler on Earth, defeated MMA legend Shinya Aoki with Aoki's own signature ankle lock in under 3-minutes at ONE Fight Night: Le vs. Freymanov. This win pushed Mikey's record to 6-0 under the ONE banner.

The match began with Musumeci conceding the takedown and then working from K guard. He was eventually able to secure the straight ankle lock variation. Ultimately, Musumeci was never in danger throughout the bout, tho reports coming in said that Mikey was struggling with an infection that had halted some of his training.

In the post-fight interview, Musumeci confirmed those reports and said he was recently hospitalized with a fever, but expressed his appreciation for the fans for supporting him. He also claimed his goal is to eventually do an MMA bout.
