The ADCC West Coast Trials are going down in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend from March 30-31 at the Westgate Hotel. The event will feature 1,000 athletes from the world's top gyms and academies competing to secure a spot at ADCC World Championships.

Team New Wave, 10th Planet and Atos are just a few of the top academies expected to be strongly represented this weekend at the second round of North American Trials. 

Athletes will be going head to head for eight spots available for ADCC World Championships in August, that entails five bids from Men's weight classes and three Women's weight classes.

ADCC stands for Abu Dhabi Combat Club,  which is the name of the events organizers. The inaugural tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1998 and has been held every two years since 2001.
