Helen Maroulis Wins Gold At The IBJJF No-Gi Worlds Championships
Helen Maroulis does it again, this time at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championships.
Olympic gold medalist Helen Maroulis added another accolade to her resume with a gold medal in the lightweight Blue belt division on Dec. 12 at the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship.
Maroulis defeated Seika Van Keuren in the finals to get the job done, and she has also joined the Open class, which will allow her to compete against anyone regardless of weight class.

The former collegiate wrestler has competed in the last three Olympic Games. In 2016, she won gold after stunning Saori Yoshida, the previous three-time consecutive gold medalist.
She also won bronze medals in 2020 and the most recent 2024 Olympics.
