The upcoming BJJ Stars 15 middleweight grand prix has announced their final participant - and it's a major one, as 2024 Super Grand Slam Champion Mica Galvão is in. Mica, who usually competes at 170lbs, joins seven other men who will all take their shot at the R$100,000 prize for the Grand Prix champion. The tournament goes down as part of the Sao Paulo-based super fight series on April 26th, airing exclusively on FloGrappling (outside of Brazil, where it's available on pay-per-view).

Mica is one of grappling's biggest stars and the Manuara established himself as one of the top pound-for-pound athletes in the world in 2024 by winning the Super Grand Slam. The Super Grand Slam is winning all four of the IBJJF major championships (Euros, Pans, Brasileiros, Worlds) and ADCC in the same calendar year - and it's only ever been done twice. Mica immediately becomes one of the favorites to win here as he returns to BJJ Stars for the first time since defeating Davi Ramos in one of their main events last year.

BJJ Stars will also feature several key matchups between top pound-for-pound talent, including Diogo Reis vs Meyram Maquine, Tayane Porfirio vs Gabi Pesssanha, and Erich Munis vs Adam Wardzinski. The Grand Prix will be eight of the best in the world at -83kg/183lbs meeting in a one night tournament under ADCC rules, including a no-points period & overtimes.
