We finally have our first event set in the next ADCC cycle, as the European, Middle East, and African Qualifier is set for this fall in Poland. The event already has registration open and whoever wins the five men's divisions at this first qualifier will punch their ticket to the ADCC World Championships in 2026.

More information for the event can be found here. It goes down September 6th, 2025 in Warsaw, Poland, with registration open until late August.

ADCC, which has been grappling's most prestigious tournament for a generation, holds eight qualifying tournaments in the lead-up to the bi-annual World Championship that anyone can enter into - no matter your style or rank. Every cycle, athletes emerge as contenders and stars from these tournaments before they ever even get to Worlds - like Owen Jones, who won this same tournament last cycle at -66kg.

Something worth noting is that only the men's winners get invites to Worlds from this first round of qualifiers. The women's divisions don't become qualifier events until the second set, but there will be divisions still contested for experience and seeding purposes.

Poland has developed over the last decade into one of the hottest grappling hubs in Europe, with their star champion being the butterfly king Adam Wardzinski. Their no-gi scene has long been haunted by the scariest leg locker in the game, Mateusz Szczecinski. There's a really strong mix of up-and-coming no-gi talent as well, like Marcin Maciulewicz, Pawl Jaworski, and Natan Sapp.
