Get ready for some fun matches this weekend when Main Character Jiu-Jitsu kicks off from Miami, main evented by Achilles Rocha and Luccas Lira! All of the matches will be going down live on FloGrappling this Saturday starting at 2pm and features MCJJ's trademark mix of off-the-wall stipulations, up-and-coming talent, and established action-oriented stars.

Main Character is one of grappling's most inventive shows, constantly looking for ways to make matches stand out, let personalities shine, and add stipulations that drive the stakes of a contest way up. That is mixed with strong main events featuring some of the best in the world, and a strong emphasis on booking some of the most consistently impressive women's and team action of any promotion.

The main event is one grappling fans will want to check out, when Achilles Rocha and Luccas Lira face off at 205lbs. These are two of the best submission hunters in the heavier weight divisions and there's no way they aren't going to try something crazy once they get out there. Both men, in fact, were nominated for FloGrappling's submission of the year honors in 2024! Are we destined for another highlight finish here?

The co-main event is two of my favorite submission hunters in the women's divisions when Trinity Pun and Leilani Bernales, a pair of WNO veterans, face off at 140lbs. Both have a ton of submission wins and Leilani as the Miami hometown girl will have a lot of support so I'm expecting a raucous environment while these two try to break each other's limbs. Fun!

This is a really big card with some really heavy hitters (including new black belt world champ Roosevelt Sousa) but one more match I definitely want to call out on this card is Kade Tsitos taking on Michael Sainz at 175lbs. These two are young, proven against elite competition, and highly motivated to put on a show in their hometowns. Sainz won a very solid debut at WNO 26 and is, in my opinion, one of the fastest-rising prospects in the very deep welterweight division. Kade is a world-ranked lightweight who has some of the best leg locks in any weight class - including sub wins over guys like Luiz Paulo and Jon Blank. It's totally reasonable that both these guys could be at the next ADCC Worlds, get on board now.

The MCJJ7 card has a deep undercard for locals to come in and show their craft, so while action kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET, the main card will be coming on closer to 6:30 p.m. ET.
