CJI 2 Donor Rescinds $1 Million Offer To New Wave
The donor behind CJI 2 has announced that he is rescinding his big money offer to New Wave, after originally saying he would pay out for controversial end

The Craig Jones Invitational 2 has taken another turn in the aftermath of its dramatic finale. Following the event, the private donor had pledged to award Team New Wave the $1,000,000 grand prize in addition to the official championship-winning team, citing the controversial circumstances that surrounded the conclusion of the tournament.
However, that offer is now being rescinded. The donor has announced that after further examination of the events, the financial commitment will not move forward. He announced this decision, along with his reason for the change, on a reddit post under his verified account -

"I did not know about clause 4.2 of the contract, the explanations in the rules meetings (which I later got access to and personally watched), or New Wave's argument immediately after the event not even mentioning the tiebreak rules. I jumped the gun before knowing all of the facts (in some ways I feel actively misled), and now that I know them, I think B-Team won, the judges made the right decision, and New Wave do not deserve $1m nor do they have any claim to overturn the decision. So congrats to B-Team, my apologies to Miha, the judging team, and CJI, and now I'll now go back to sitting down and shutting the f*ck up."
Kingsway coach Gordon Ryan, who has been steadfast that Team New Wave won and the results of the event must be changed, had this to say -
"All the receipts- if you have interest.
From the dozens of fake reddit and social media accounts he has of him trying to control the narrative, to rumors he spreads about those who have helped him, you can only hide who you really are for so long. The world will slowly realize, just as z team realized when they kicked him out, and just as my team mates have realized. Guy didn't even stick around to congratulate the winning and his "team" on winning the prize at HIS event, which was 80% LESS per athlete than it was the year before, btw. The jj community awakening is beginning."
