UFC BJJ 3 Live Results: Henrique & Musumeci Successfully Defend Titles

UFC BJJ Bantamweight Championship - Mikey Musumeci vs Keven Carrasco

Round one of the main event begins. Mikey is hopping on one leg. Eventually he does just pull, now he's into his K guard. Keven clears. Mikey is back into the legs. Keven sits. Mikey pulls him in and submits him with an inside heel hook, using his head to get the torque.

UFC BJJ Lightweight Championship - Carlos Henrique vs Matheus Gabriel

Feels like a lot of motivation for both guys here. Round one. Carlos nearly pushes Matheus out of the bowl early on. Matheus pulls into a shooting triangle, but not much on it. They are flurrying back and forth, Matheus nearly snatches a leg lock but Carlos spins out. Carlos on top, putting pressure with a stack against the pit. Carlos spins to a kneebar attempt but it is loose. Now Matheus is sitting in a berimbolo but eventually Carlos clears and gets to single leg X. Matheus steps out, now he's on top. Carlos wrestles his way through a guillotine attempt late to stand back up.

Round two. Matheus pulls again quickly. Carlos doing a better job of shutting things down and applying pressure. It's not as exciting to watch, but it's a better path to victory. Round will end without much major engagement.

Round three. I think we are tied. Carlos with an early takedown, but Matheus is on a De La Riva. He's inverting and thinking berimbolo but Carlos is spinning with him. Carlos clears and begins applying pressure again. Matheus inverts inside, but Carlos bails to 50/50. He wrestles up and puts Gabriel back down. He's in a solid half guard position. He passes, Matheus sits up, and reguards but Carlos has a deep body lock. He passes again. Ninety seconds left. Matheus reguards. They will go to the judges.

Sam Nagai vs Kennedy Maciel

Kennedy shoots early and he's on top after a deep double leg. Sam reverses his way to top. Kennedy nearly gets caught in a front headlock but clears and continues playing guard. Kennedy sweeps up and now Sam is playing from his open guard. As Kennedy gets busy with his loose passing, Sam lumberjack sweeps to top. As Kennedy wrestles up, he's stuck in another front headlock and Sam is looking for a shallow darce. Round ends.

Round two. Sam with an early hip toss to get on top. They stand back up. Kennedy pulls. Kennedy stands again. Kennedy reattacks a drag but Sam snatches the guillotine - Kennedy clears. Sam spends the end of the round looking armbar but can't lock it.

Round three. Both guys wrestling and neither guy able to do much in the first few minutes.Kennedy attacks a single leg but Sam jumps on a guillotine. It's deep. Kennedy clears his hips and spins, impressive sequence. It's late and Kennedy looks choi bar. Sam clears. Kennedy jumps on an outside heel hook but it's loose. The match will end there.

Cassia Moura vs Alex Enriquez

Round one begins. Alex pulls to half guard and wrestles up, but Cassia clears. Alex sits again. Cassia passes. Alex reguards. Cassia uses a weave pass to apply pressure and then late in the round jumps to the far side for another pass.

Round two. Cassia drags her way into a trip for the takedown. Alex sweeps her way up to top position, and has a body lock pass. Cassia gets to a leg and sweeps her own way back to top. Cassia working from distance. She passes to the back, Alex rolls but both hooks are in.

Round three. Scramble ends with Alex ending up on top, she sells out for a guillotine but doesn't get it and now Cassia is on top. We're back up, one minute left. Alex pulls again.

Jansen Gomes vs Gustavo Batista

Round one and they are both wrestling. Some heavy hand fighting but no real shots halfway through the round. Jansen finally pressures Batista up the bowl and lands a big double leg, but Batista is up and out quickly. Big slam there using the pit wall. Jansen being aggressive with the underhooks here, round ends without another takedown though.

Round two. Batista nearly drags to the back, then goes uchi mata, but Jansen uses the wall to stabilize and reattack with a double leg. Jansen smashes his way to half guard with a head and arm grip. Batista turtles, 2 minutes left and Jansen takes the back. Batista escapes. Jansen attacks the back again but ends up in 3/4 mount.

Round three begins. A lot of wrestling, neither guy committing too deeply. Jansen goes for a seoi nage but Batista counters, suplexes, but can't hold position. They're back on the feet. Third round will end without much happening, compared to the first few rounds.

Kris Olivo vs Andy Murasaki

Andy pulls immediately. For competing almost exclusively in the gi, he's a really great leg locker. Andy rolls into the legs, Olivo counters with a toe hold but they roll out. Olivo now on top again. Andy inverts from reverse De La Riva and pulls in a leg for an outside ashi, then slaps on an outside heel hook but Olivo manages to roll and stay safe. Round ends there.

Round two. Andy pulls again. Andy into the legs and Kris falls back to manage the danger. Now Andy on top and into leg drag. He's into side control but can't convert on a late armbar and falls off the side. Round ends, Murasaki likely up 2-0.

Round three. Andy with a short double leg to get on top with a body lock. He passes and mounts. After a few minutes cooking, Kris kips his way free. Andy passes again and locks a kimura to get the tap.

Andy Varela vs Daniel Sathler

Andy snaps Daniel into front headlock and starts attacking the neck already. Daniel clears. Three minutes in, just collar ties so far. They get a little aggressive and the ref steps in to reprimand them. The round ends, we didn't hit the mat one time after the first exchange.

Round two. Daniel finally jumps and he's got closed guard. Andy is tripoding in the closed guard, pushing his head into Daniel's chin. They stand back up, Varela has been warned for stalling. Varela passes by the elbow and jumps on the back. He laces the rear naked choke and gets the win.

Shye Lilly vs Ana Mayordomo

Shye pulls and Ana uses a deep underhook to pressure in.They move into a leg entanglement and Ana drops back, but then comes back up into a split squat. Ana moves back into loose passes, then a stack that she runs around to pass. She falls off looking for an armbar. Ana uses a k guard to work to the armbar, and gets the tap.

Jalen Fonacier vs Pedro Nakano

We kick things off with Mikey's teammate Jalen Fonacier taking on Pedro Nakano. Nakano on top early in round one. Jalen uses a K guard to invert his way through some rolls and into the legs. They move to 50/50. Jalen exposes the heel and scores another first round submission.
