Black Belt Divisions
In a pretty key heavyweight bout, Roosevelt Sousa beats Inacio Santos. Jose Jurema uses his passing and top game to advance to another finals over Anthony Robinson.
Dante Leon is back up against Javier Barter. Barter passes early, and then passes again into mount. Barter gets it done, he wins 12-0 in the biggest victory of his career! Middleweight semifinal of Mateus Moraes and PSF's Mahmoud Jabr up now. Major one now at medium-heavy as well, Pawel and Wallisson. Pawel uses a false reap to invert into a kneebar. Wallisson escapes but eats damage and they have to pause for the doctor's to take a look. On the other mat, Jabr gets the decision win! The upsets continue. Two and a half minutes left for Pawel/Wallisson and Pawel leads by an advantage. Wallisson won't be able to pass and Pawel gets it done.

Big boys are starting to roll out, and Roosevelt is cruising in his quest for double gold as he mounts Hiago Lima. Patrick Gaudio will skip his division and focus on the open class final. Helder Jose upsets Lucas Montalvão, the defending champion here, with an early straight ankle lock.

We're back to the heavier quarterfinals now. David Garmo is up against Jon Blank in a key showdown here. David scores early with a takedown, and now a pass! He's up 5-0, but Blank is into a crucifix and trying to take the back. David will escape, he's back on top. He will survive and advance here after a hot start to the match. On the next mat over, Wallisson Oliveira beats João Menezes to advance. Pawel Jaworski uses his top game to get it done, a rarity. At heavyweight, Javier Barter snatches a heel hook, Jose Jurema gets a points win, and Dante Leon advances.
Canada' Cam Mellott submit's AOJ's Gomez to make the finals with an outside heel hook. Max Hanson and Gianni Grippo now meet in a rematch of their WNO bout. Gianni pulls. Max has two on the board now, I guess they went back and gave him two on the review. Gianni wrestles up to a rear body lock but ends up falling back into a leg entanglement. Gianni does eventually sweep after a reset, Max pulls to 50/50. Gianni clears and is applying pressure, two minutes left. They reset on the feet with under a minute left. Gianni has a bad pull! He gets a penalty! He opens up late trying to win but Max nearly takes his back, Max will win.

Light division semifinals are now coming up. At light-feather, Junny Ocasio and Vinicius Inacio are up. This match is playing out very evenly, very strategic. Vinny leads by an advantage with a minute left, Junny on top. Junny won't score and Vinny will win and is into the finals. Marco Mendes back up and he uses an early front calf slicer to score the win! Wow, he's on fire here. Julian Espinosa adds a straight ankle lock to the submission totals today.

Max Hanson out now against Miguel Campos, the brother of Max's rival Carlos Henrique. Miguel is up early on a pair of takedowns, 4-0! Max is digging into the legs, he finally finds the heel hook for the tap. Dramatic! On the next mat over, David Stoilescu and Gianni Grippo are facing off with David up early 2-0. Gianni storms back, he scores seven unanswered points to win and advance to the semifinals.

After some blood stoppages, Cam Mellott finally gets the leg lock upset win over 1-seed Ismail Santos. AOJ's Steven Gomez scores a darce win over Emilio Hernandez to advance. Julian Espinosa storms his way past his quarterfinal opponent with a submission in ninety seconds, feels like a lot of finishes here this morning.

The third and final day of the IBJJF No-Gi Pans is live! We are kicking it off with men's quarters and semifinals, then we move right into the finals. World champ Osamah Ali Almarwai starts the day off with a points win. Lucas Castro, Chris Tran, and Relter Lima join him with wins of their own. Junny Ocasio falls back on a heel hook to get the first submission of the day and Leo Martins upsets Kevin Dantzler. Marco Mendes adds another slick kneebar to make the semifinals at feather and right after Marcos Gomes adds a heel hook of his own to submit Cleber.
